Gonna Get You

Yeah I saw this old white cat walking in front of the library yesterday. He manages to put the sign in front of his face as he passed me...lol.
So, I go to the studio to do some work for class and the friggin security guard is like " for the future no children allowed." I've never had a problem with taking my kid to the schoolhouse in the whole 8 yrs of her little life. It's been really good to take her to see where I spend a lot of my time away from her and for her to see what mommy be doing to get to where we need to be. It's been a good way to validate some of our sacrifices and encourage her to do her best in school. But this bitch wanted to give me a problem yesterday. This is when I start thinking
*what's wrong with my race* No, I wasn't dragging my kid to class, it was off hours. And No, I was not taking her into any place where there are chemicals or dangerous materials or machinery around. If I had to see my professor in her office for 5 minutes your saying my child can't come into the building? Are you joking me? Really I didn't have as much a problem with the fact as there was such a bogus policy as I had with the serious tude this Hag looking at the front door was giving me when I asked her where it said such in the student hanbook and further questions upon me leaving. I'm just a sista paying her dues and if this is gonna be a problem I have the right to know where this information is listed and who I need to speak with. Ish my tuition is paid for just like the rest. But I guess art school couldn't be as simple as doing the work, there had to be a plight in this for me, huh? It's bad enoough there is no regard at all within the administration for students like myself, these cragguhs have to make it more difficult for me than the average student to simply get my work done. So be it. They done eff'd with the wrong Ma and I don't play that when it comes to my youngun.
So, I will be spending the next week dealing with this with the higher ups. If there is a policy where guest are allowed and my child is not they are gonna have to put it in writing. Then if it's not resolved I will be excercising my keen ability to be the bigest thorn in the side, pain in the ass to the utmost exponent. And lawd don't let me have get a lawyer or write an article.
