Anywhoo.
Brrrrrrrrrrr!
Ok so I live in the south right. That means it's suppose to be and stay warm. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. It's like 30/40 degrees. And what does that mean. It means it's cold at night and during the day. Usually it's 40/60. Yes even in Dec. A cold 40 degrees at night but it warms up to 60 in the day by noon. But NOOOO it's straight brick @$$ cold in this piece. I HATE THE COLD! I have a homegrrrl that grew up in Cali and when she moved back to NYC the grrrl would literally break out in hives! Yeah thats gonna be me if I get anymore spoiled with the weather. Awwww I want the sweltering summer back. I can't stand wearing all these clothes. Lemmie stop complaining and be happy with the 9-10 months of good weather. It definately could be worse.
So making my daily blog visit to Joe's NYC Photoblog<---click dat I found out that NYC is up to it's usual Nazi like antics. To quote Joe;
"As you may or may not know by now, the MTA has re-proposed the photography ban in the subways as seen in the State Register on
November 23rd:
Section 1040.4 NOTICE is hereby given of the following action: In order to further enhance passenger security and safety, photography and video recording is prohibited except for members of the press holding valid identification cards issued by the New York City Police Department or where written authorization has been provided by SIRTOA.
Not surprisingly, the police have already started enforcing the ban even though it is NOT in effect, and many innocent photographers have been harrassed and detained by the police. Many of us are determined to not let this go by unnoticed and without
protest; Join us, plan on taking your camera out for a day of photography that won't ever be forgotten, with a flash mob photo session that will even make the MTA board want to be there with cameras. It'll be one of those "Only in New York" things you've been hearing about..."
This is effin insane! Sheer fuckery! Sheeet I'll be getting mad summons and possibly arrested when I go visit cause there ain't no way IM NOT GONNA SHOOT PIX IN THE SUBWAY. YA HEARD?! They are straight trippin. This reminds me of when Gulianni was trying to close down all clubs at like 2 am. That ish didn't manifest and this shouldn't either.
So all my photo-homies up there in NYC
go protest the mta photo ban.
