" There is nothing better than to be without everything...
When you are without all you will be with all."
~Bayazid Al-Bistami
Today is the first day of Ramadan. Though I have not taken Shahadah I was raised and still believe in much which is Islam. I also fast for the solidarity, with the same intentions (spiritually speaking) - to get closer to the most high.. It is amazing to know that there are millions of people all over the world doing the same thing during the same time. I believe that is a powerful thing. To today marks the month of fasting sunrise to sundown. Today sunrise is 7.28am, sundown is 6:51pm. Which means 11hrs and change of fasting. The first few days are always the hardest but eventually you re-program yourself. No food, nothing to drink and the fasting of the pleasures we so take for granted. This is my time to cleanse myself so I will be doing other fast as well as try to purge myself of my lack of dicipline and some of my counterproductive vices. The challenge will be running this year.
Moving on to other things.

Invited Tribesmen
You fam? Knock, knock, knock and I open my doors to you.
All my close peoples are more then welcome to tap on my door wheneva-open invitation There are some that are aquaintances and others that are tribesmen. What do I consider my tribesman? One who walks side by side in struggle. One whom much time has been spent to build understanding and raise awareness and share those mental gems. One who gives of themself willfully and modestly. One whom there is a debt to because of their support and upliftment of my spirit. One whom even with the challenges of relationships, remains. One who loves whole heartedly. One who has my back and visa versa accepts my like movement. One who has some sort of spiritual foundation. One who reflects myself and whom I strive to be continuously, in their own person, in their own way. One who is accepting of me no matter what. One who acknowledges me as their kindred spirit. And sure I could go on but these are the critera. BUT YO, you gotta hit most of these to be my tribesmen.
I had a dream about the fall leaves in reds, oranges and yellows. It was so vivid that I am not as ticked that I'm missing the northeastern fall this year. But it just reminded me upon awakening that it's time to start new
