I Was Feelin Brando. So What!
I remember being a little girl and listening to my mother talk bout brando her favorite actor.
I remember watching him in "Streetcar Named Desire" for the first time.
I remember there having been a couple of white male celebrities that I was impress'd with...
(Brando, Dean & Morrison) All odd balls.
Unconventional white men. With philosophies I still endear.
Dean & Morrison someothertime...
Brando was a man that showed the most humility I've seen in fame and hollywood.
So SUPAFRESH that he refused an "oscar" (something we a black people been stalkin till Halle Berry) in the name of Native Americans (Naw I know he ain't do it for the black folk). He use to play John Wayne flix backwards so that the Indians would win.
Method actor with not a lick of method cause it was nothing but real life application timed.
He was the "Godfather" but had principles.
Married brown women.
An angry recluse whom distrusted society!

So yeah I know there are some of you that might be like "Ray Charles didn't get all this airtime on her blog"....why?
Why cause I didn't know a political or essential (inside) thing about Ray.
And Brando was his own breed of rebel.
I repsect that...nevermind he could act.
Brando was his art fused with his essence.
A Rebel with a cause.
And yes I'm giving this white (actor at that) air time on my soapbox.
I bet you didn't know I was a high school black girl that wore nothing but a Motorcycle Jacket, Motorcycle Boots, Jeans and a T-shits practically every day as the kids whisper'd she a dyke when I wasn't)...
