Ma Grrrls
Really, I don't particularly like those of my gender. I have found over the course of my lil life that women have issues. Especially with me. Of which I could give a flyin f*ck. For the most part women are plotting, vindictive, catty, jealous, distrustful, complicated, just to name a few characteristics I've been privy too. I've been expose to some behaviors that men don't really see before it's too late. I've had girlfriends accuse me of *ish, lie profusely to me, use me and basically I've experience "woman" at her core of eve-ish behavior. But I've always had an affinity for Lilith. The first woman who damned herself because she would not be subservient to a man, intern fleeing the garden. My mother and my daughter are the ultimate women I actually look to as my inspiration to be the woman I want to grow to be over my lifetime.
BUT...
Ma Grrrls rock. Though I'm not one to roll with or cling to other women (definitely always been a loner in that respect), I got some bombing females as close friends. The ones above are just a few though very special. For three of us, this is our turning 30 year...transition...metamorphosis. It was great sharing a 30th b-day with my grrrls together. The best time I've had in years! Funny we had whole conversations on who is which character in Sex and the City. AND YO!!! I AM NOT AMANDA just cause I got a kid...stop it yall! Eli YOU ARE CHARLOTTE!!!! We've gone thru cancer, pregnancy, men, celibacy, financial woes, weight neurosis, NYC, Miami, arguments, time-outs, vacations, spirituality or lack there of, just to name a few of the bonding events. Most of the women I adore I've know for 10+ years. Many others along the way have bit the dust over that time. Very few have been acquired. I love my home grrrls! They are my rock and conscience. And although generally speaking I can't stand women, I know there are a few I think the world of. Here are 3 that are timeless and irreplaceable.
I love yall with all my heart and soul (as well as those not pictured here yall know who you are).
